Membership

Founded in the earliest years of America's independence, the Massachusetts Historical Society is a magnificent resource for the study of American history and understanding its relevance to contemporary issues and events. Ralph Waldo Emerson, Oliver Wendell Holmes and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, among other great Americans, regularly visited the MHS, as do prominent historians and prize-winning authors of today.
We welcome you to join them as members of the MHS, an institution of historic importance nationally as well as in Massachusetts.
