Letter from Theodore Roosevelt, in Long Island, N.Y., to Leverett Saltonstall (1825-1895), 3 August 1893, in which he refers to two portraits of Sir Richard Saltonstall which, through a misunderstanding, he received as a gift from Lord North In Warwickshire, England, and which he plans to send on to Leverett, a descendant, for whom he believes they would be a more appropriate gift.
