This miniature portrait of Elizabeth Freeman ("Mumbet") was painted by Susan Anne Livingston Ridley Sedgwick in 1811.The painting shows Mumbet wearing a typical Federalist period dress as well as the golden beads that are now part of the Massachusetts Historical Society's collections.
