This bracelet consists of a double-strand of gold beads, with a golden clasp.  It was made from a necklace of gold beads belonging to Elizabeth Freeman ("Mumbet") and given by her to Catharine Maria Sedgwick.  The clasp and gold separators probably date from the 1840s.  Mumbet is seen wearing the necklace in the miniature portrait of her by Susan Anne Livingston Ridley Sedgwick (see online display of miniature portrait).
