My dearest Friend

I have only time to say that I approve all your Plans for our affairs at home.

Inclosed is a Power to Quincy. I would have you Sue the Nightengales by all means. They are insufferable.

Know all Men that I John Adams of Quincy in the County of Norfolk,Esqr. do hereby constitute Josiah Quincy of Boston in the County of Suffolk Esqr., my Attorney in all Causes real and personal, moved or to be moved for me or against me, in my name and Stead to appear, plead and pursue to final Judgment and Execution with Power of Substitution. Witness my Hand and Seal at Philadelphia this 18 Day of February A.D. 1797
