Precious Metals: From Au to Zn

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Precious Metals will be open at the Massachusetts Historical Society from 2 August to 2 October. Special guest curator John W. Adams and MHS Curator Anne E. Bentley have planned an exhibition to highlight many of the rare and unique numismatic pieces in the Society's collection. Enjoy seeing our nation's history through medals, tokens, and money. Whether gold or common copper and zinc, all are precious for their immediate connection to persons, places, and times past.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to view rarely seen pieces such as the 1776 Massachusetts Pine Tree copper penny, a piece of original Massachusetts Bay stock, and the full set of Washington-Webster silver Comitia Americana medals as well as many more numismatic treasures.
"Precious Metals: From Au to Zn" is free and open to the public and will be open from 2 August until 2 October, Monday through Saturday, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
