|
This collection consists of papers collected by the
Taylor family, the founders of the Globe Newspaper Co., mostly genealogical
materials on the Taylor, Crehore, and related families. Includes items of Edith
Crehore, Charles H. Taylor, W. David Taylor, and William O. Taylor. There are
some records of the Globe Newspaper Co., publishers of the Boston Globe,
including financial papers (1882-1921), scrapbooks and materials for a history
of the newspaper by Willard de Lue; photographs, and some papers of the Globe
Charitable Trust, Boston Globe Foundation, and the Globe Voting Trust. Also, a
record book of the Hour Glass Club of Boston, Massachusetts, 1926-75; and a
scrapbook of the 1872 baseball season kept by George Wright.
