This collection consists of one album containing carte de visite portrait photographs of members of the 45th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.

Album containing carte de visite portrait photographs of members of the 45th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. Subjects also include portraits of Mass. Gov. John A. Andrew and Rhode Island Gov. William Sprague, as well as portraits of various Union and Confederate officers. The photographs were taken ca. 1861-1867 by photographers James Wallace Black, Edward L. Allen, and Clifford & Shapleigh of Boston, Mass., as well as George Kendall Warren of Cambridgeport, Mass., among many others. All of the photographs are black and white.
