Historic Sites and Homes Massachusetts Historical Commission Researchers often confuse the Massachusetts Historical Society with the Massachusetts Historical Commission (MHC). The International Council of Museums The International Council of Museums (ICOM) provides alphabetical listings of U.S. museums as well as museums worldwide. The Victorian Society in America / New England Chapter Based in Boston, in Back Bay's historic Gibson House Museum, the Society offers popular and educational programs to foster increased appreciation of our Victorian past, and through its annual awards acts as a lively advocate for the preservation of New England's significant 19th century resources.
