Edward E. Brown

Edward E. Brown qualified as an attorney in 1883. With Butler Wilson, Archibald Grimke, and James Wolff, he led the 1880s campaign to improve the civil rights laws of Massachusetts. He was a leader in Booker T. Washington’s National Negro Business League. Like James Wolff, he was a native of New Hampshire and was later a partner in Wolff’s law practice.
