Morning at home. Copied a small portion of the Vaughan Papers on the North Eastern Boundary.1
Little or nothing remarkable occurred. Went to ride with my Mother and passed the afternoon in
writing a letter to Abby. It is now a long time since I have heard from her and what with this, and with my situation here, I felt very much depressed. I have been troubled with a head ache for some days. In the evening, Mrs. Frye and Mrs. Smith amused the family much but I was not in the feeling of high spirits.
