writing a letter to Abby. It is now a long time since I have heard from her and what with this, and with my situation here, I felt very much depressed. I have been troubled with a head ache for some days. In the evening, Mrs. Frye and Mrs. Smith amused the family much but I was not in the feeling of high spirits.
