Mr. Paine was ordained, minister of Charlestown, but as it snow'd all the fore part of the day, I did not attend. Cabot, the junior was here: I am still pursuing the study of algebra; which is as entertaining as it is useful. I could wish I had time for pro• {p. 148} ceeding in all the mathematical branches of Science: but the time will soon come, when I shall be called to studies of a very different nature.
