In a memorial dated 30 Nov. 1785 that he presented to Lord Carmarthen on 8 Dec., JA demanded that the British ministry immediately withdraw all troops from U.S. territory, especially the western posts, as agreed upon in the Preliminary and Definitive Treaties of Peace.
