Missed Prayers. Examination day, very disagreeable, passed pretty well, Dr. Ware’s child drowned,1 omitted Butler, evening ride with Sheafe.
1. Edward Ware, aged about nine years, drowned “at the old bath” (John Ware, Memoir of the Life of Henry Ware, Jr., Boston, 1846, p. 169–170).
