Pallas, scheduled to sail from Boston on 20 May, his mother wrote
AA offering her the opportunity of sending letters by him to
JA (Mercy Warren to
AA,
8 May 1781 [i.e. 1780],
Adams Papers).
AA embraced the chance, but the letters were doubtless lost when Warren was captured;
