3. Former Pennsylvania lieutenant governor Richard Penn was elected a member of Parliament in 1784. In 1772, in Philadelphia, he married Mary Masters, daughter of William and Mary Lawrence Masters (DAB). From AA2's description of the party (below), Mary Lawrence Masters was living with the Penns in London.
