. Apparently an inadvertence for 1 Anne, stat. 1, c. 8, §5 (1702). The confusion, whether
in Gridley's argument or JA
's reporting, may perhaps be explained by the fact that the duration of Parliament

after the death of the sovereign by 6 Anne, c. 7, §§4, 8 (1707).
