at Amsterdam concerning “some goods of his frinds in America” on board the vessels
from St. Eustatius that La Motte-Picquet captured and sent into Brest. Rocqùette's
friends were probably Samuel Curson and Isaac Gouverneur Jr. (Franklin, Papers
