- Archival Notes: Misdated by CFA as April 1799 and filmed at that date. However the American commissioners to France did not arrive in Spain until Feb. 1800. See Channing 4:206. Doubtless addressed to Mrs. [Hannah] Cushing, as this present letter appears to be a reply to Cushing to AA, 28 March 1800 ( 102249). Entered by ER 11/30/2015
