- Note: Dated by AA: "Saturday Morng. April [torn]." Endorsed: "Mrs. AA April 27th 1816." 27 April fell on a Saturday in 1816, but the substance of the letter strongly suggests it was written, in April 1815, when news of Napoleon's return from Elba was received.
