- Memo by JQA, written 22 Oct. 1823 on M/JQA/48.29: "Miss Charoltte Nicholas, of Ealing, mace me a present of a small Sun-Dial, made by herself, with this Inscription. ‘Les Don de L'Amitie n'offensent jamais.' Which was the occasion of the following lines addressed to her. 1817."
