- WEBSTER, D. A.L.s., Mar. 6, 1827, mounted in a black frame (18 x 32 inches) and covered with glass. Top 2/3 of frame occupied by full-size port. of Webster holding large hunting gun and standing beside a large tree in front of house. 12-line letter from Webster to J. Q. Adams asking the pres. to give the office of "Naval Officer" to Abel Harris of Portsmouth, N.H. Webster says he has known Mr. Harris for many years and believes him competent. Harris has been an eminent merchant. 35.00
