1821 to 1838
Original paper slip text:1821-1822, 1825, 1837-1838
"Diary in abridgment"
590 p., fragmentarily numbered, plus 13 p. inserted
- This volume appears to be something between the line-a-day entries of D/JQA/23 and the full entries of the written-up diary. It may, in fact, be a "Rubbish" volume and belong properly to that series. Whether the whole is "superfluous" can only be told by further checking; some of the entries are also in "Rubbish" volumes, and some of the gaps are supplied in the "Rubbish" entries (as CFA has usually indicated in penciled notes in the present volume).
- The intervals covered in the present volume are as follows:
- 1 Dec. 1821 - 31 March 1822.
- 15 Jan.-16 Feb., 21 Feb.-9 March, 1 April-14 June 1825.
- 30 March-8 May, 1 Aug.-14 Dec. 1837.
- 1-8 Jan., 1-14 Feb. (loose insert), 1 May-28 June, 1 Aug.-31 Dec. 1838.
