- Filmed at the end of 1798, redated to [ca. 4 June 1798] in 1974, on the basis that Abigail Adams wrote to Mary Smith Cranch on 4 June 1798 about the possibility of Thomas Welsh Jr. being appointed secretary to John Quincy Adams in place of Thomas Boylston Adams. ER 11/10/2015
- Slip was z'ed out and moved from [ca. 4 June 1798], and recipient was changed from [Thomas Welsh, Jr.] to [Samuel Bayard Malcom]. Previous slip ID 090827.
