[1794] is the only time during JA's vice presidency that 2 Sept. fell on a Tuesday. If Fitzsimons made a mistake on the internal date, then [1789] is the most likely based on similar invitation responses in the Adams-Hull Coll; [1790] is impossible.
Note: Document reads "Thursday," not "Tuesday." Thursday, 2 Sept. in 1790.
