Stained and repaired at folds, docketed and with a note in another hand on the second page. Tipped to the second page is a small oval engraved bust portrait of Adams. Matted and framed between glass, both pages visible.Adams feels he must submit certain papers for Nile's Weekly Register as ". . .I have motives of private honour and public duty for wishing to preserve these Papers in print. Your Repository is the best:. . ." Whether they are printed or not Adams wants them returned ". . .I find it necessary for me to preserve Vouchers. "
