a 668 ADAMS. L.S., 1p. 4to, Dept. of State, Nov. 12, 1821. To Smith Thompson, Secretary of Navy. Written when Adams was Secretary of State. Sending a presidential pardon for Thomas Bryant, seaman, who had been court martialed. The pardon was issued on condition that he leave the country on the departure of a public vessel of the U. S., and be landed "at some convenient port abroad." $20.00
