("Muse! quit thy Car! come down upon the floor...") 3 versions; M/JQA/42.59, 30 Sept. 1841, contains verses 2, 3, 4, 5, and 1 in that order, and in the title contains the words "perched on her Clock wheeled Car over the door fronting the Speaker's Chair in the" instead of "Over the Clock in the"; M/JQA/48.135, 5 June 1840, is in sonnet form, and text is quite different; M/JQA/48.139, 16 March 1846, is the complete long poem, with stanzas in another version, and some additional ones, in M/JQA/48.142–148
