This portrait of Henry Jackson, treasurer of the Society of Cincinnati, was completed by John Johnston about 1809.

Henry Jackson was born in 1747. He was an officer in the Continental Army in the Revolution and later was a founding member of the Society of the Cincinnati. He supervised the building of the Constitution. Henry Jackson died in Boston in 1809.
