Log of the snow Polly on a voyage from Boston to the Northwest Coast, Canton (China), and back to Boston, 26 August 1800 - 4 May 1802. Entries record a harbor log, weather and navigational readings, an encounter with pirates, and brief notes on the fur trade with the Native Americans on the Northwest Coast, 8 April - 19 June 1801. There is a gap from 22 September - 27 November 1801 while the ship was in port at Canton. Brief stops include Rio de Janeiro, Oahu, Hawaii, Macao, and the Sunda Strait.
