Adams Family Correspondence, volume 14
Current and former staff of the Adams Papers editorial
project were dedicated contributors to the completion of volume 14 of the Adams Family Correspondence. We are grateful for
the continued service of former editor in chief C. James Taylor and the
unwavering support of assistant editor Rhonda Barlow. Lindsey Woolcock and
Sequoia Dooley served as Adams Papers interns and made valuable contributions to
the project. Our copyeditor, Ann-Marie Imbornoni, added elegance to this volume
as she has to many through the years.
Many colleagues outside the project also assisted us as we prepared this volume for publication. We are grateful to Caroline Keinath, Kelly Cobble, and the staff at Adams National Historical Park; Ashley Cataldo at the American Antiquarian Society; Samantha Snyder at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon; David J. Gary at the American Philosophical Society; Prof. Steve Pincus at the University of Chicago; Tiraana Bains at Yale University; and Ward W. Briggs Jr., Carolina Distinguished Professor of Classics Emeritus at the University of South Carolina. We are indebted to editors of other editorial projects for fruitful collaboration, including Robb K. Haberman at the Selected Papers of John Jay; Tom Downey and the other editors at the Papers of Thomas Jefferson; Constance B. Schulz and Mary Sherrer at the Papers of the Revolutionary Era Pinckney Statesmen; and Mary Wigge, Lynn Price, and the other editors at the Washington Papers. The reference staff and librarians at Harvard University’s Houghton, Lamont, and Widener libraries also offered important assistance.
Our thanks are again due to Kenneth and Kevin Krugh of Technologies ’N Typography in Merrimac, Massachusetts, who managed the typesetting of the volume with precision. At Harvard University xxxiv Press, we appreciate the steadfast support of Andrew Kinney, General Editor; Tim Jones, Director of Design and Production; Christine Thorsteinsson, Managing Editor; Abigail Mumford, Assistant Director of Production; Olivia Woods, Editorial Assistant; and Eric Mulder, Design Assistant, all of whom have helped maintain a fruitful collaboration that spans the history of the project.
