This list includes 114 documents omitted from volume 15 of the Papers of John Adams and 9 documents that have come to the editors’ attention since the publication of the volumes in which they would have appeared. Entries contain the date of the document, the correspondent, the form in which it exists (Dft, FC, LbC, LbC-Tr, MS, RC), its location, and its place of publication, if any. Where there are multiple instances of publication, the most recent has been indicated to facilitate accessibility. All copies existing in the Adams Papers have been indicated. The list does not include documents that have been calendared, nor does it contain documents that were sent or received by the commissioners when John Adams was not present at Paris, notably between 19 July and 9 August 1783.
