JQA Diary, volume 29 Day
JQA Neal Millikan

Day. I rise usually between 6 and 7. But seldom can do more than my stated reading of the morning before Breakfast—from ten O’Clock of the morning until 2 of the afternoon I read or write, or receive visitors— From two till five, walk or ride out to visit objects of curiosity or pay visits— At five we dine, and pass the Evening at some one of the Theatres— They close at about eleven, and on returning from them I close the day.— A fearful waste of time; but I hope the days of industry will soon return again.
