Dont forget to take up the old Deed & Power. You'll please to have an Eye to Belcher2 & do not let him Slip next Court. I left Josias Nuttage Junr.3 Note with you which I trust youll get soon. I send yr. Receipt for the Note, which may be endorsed on the back when you have paid Jones or destroyed & another Receipt given for Belcher & Nuttages notes. My Compliments to yr. Richard Wenman (ca. 1711–1781) immigrated to Nova Scotia in 1749 with the first settlers of Halifax. With his wife, became manager of the orphan home there. Later served as a justice of the peace, member of the House of Assembly, and a captain in the militia. By 1776 he was one of the wealthiest landowners in Halifax (DCB).
