Quer: If one Indorses a Note to another with a full Indorsement & says for value Recd. pay the Contents of the within note &c. Now if the Indorser takes his Note back again can he sue it without mentioning the Indor
I hope Sr. if Time will permit you will send by the Bearer hereof those legal & political Curiosities you mentioned in your last.
I presented your Letter1 & what was therein contained to Amelia, for which she returns you her thanks, but at the same time was sorry that you put yourself to so much Cost & trouble for her. She express'd a great liking to your Letter & was very sensible that the embellishments of the Mind was infinitely preferable to any other.
You did not send me word whether you deigned to come up & tarry with me, send word, now & at any time when you have a mind to come. I'll send a horse for you. I am yr. hble., sert.

Pray lend me Latten Grammer, Richard Snary, & some good Construing book & such other books as you think necessary & indeavour to make my Self a Roman (not Catholick) in this Cessation of Business.
Tell Mr. Williams his flour is very good, & should be glad he'd send me a BarreII & I'll pay him in a Week or ten days at farthest. I am &c.

I Rec'd yours1 by my Brother Abijah, but have not Time by this Conveyance to answer your Quære or to write to Mr. Prat. I shall be in Town in about three weeks & I believe it will be as well to Consult Mr. Prat upon your Quæres as to write to him. I should be glad you would go to the Clerks office of the Supr. Court & take a Copy of the Judgment Harper vs Darby which you will find among the Records for Worcester County September 1752,2 be exact as to the Sum recovered both as to the Debt & Costs & also how the Plt. & Deft. are called for I want to Sue the Judgment & send it me by the first Conveyance. I have Inclosed a Note of Hand for Thayer to Sign & will send the Execution as soon as I can send to Worcester for it but make him sign it directly. I am Sr. yr. hble. Serv.
