This daye the Capt sent to toppe again to discover our viceadmirall, we descried from thence to the Eastward a sayle, but we knewe not what she was.
About 7: of the Clock the Jewell bare vp so neere vs as we could speake eache to other, and after we bated some sayle, so she went a head of vs, and soone after 8: putt forthe her light.
