- Archival Notes: This seems directly related to JA's 3rd annual address, 3 Dec. 1799 ( 101788), for which see Messages & Papers of the Presidents, pp. 289-291. JA nominated Mr. Murray, Mr. Ellsworth, and Patrick Henry to the SEnate on 26 Feb. 1799, but they did not leave until Nov. 1799. Governor Davie took Henry's place. Entered by ER 12/1/2015
