- 8 ADAMS, JOHN QUINCY. A.D. (unsigned), 2/3 page, 4to, Jan. 14, 1840. "The Members of the Select Committee on the Smithsonian bequest Bill, are requested to meet in a chamber of the Committee of Manufactures, tomorrow morning at half-past ten O'Clock..." Adams then lists the members concerned. At bottom appears an authentication by Simon Brown, Concord, Mass., 1855. Tipped to a larger sheet, else fine, boldly penned by Adams in jet-black ink. (65.00)
