- Archival Notes: Endorsed 1846; but 22 Nov. fell on a Sunday (not a Tuesday) in that year and CFA, occupied with JQA's illness in Boston, records no Quincy trip that day. If Tuesday is meant, the date must be 24 Nov., on which date the Diary for 1846 records a Quincy trip. Of the other alternatives (1831, 1836, 1842, 1853) only 1853 seems possible (compare CFA Diary).
