  • The memoranda are of a very miscellaneous character: a surveyor's traverse (n.d.); lists of vegetables, flowers, and fruits (laid in loose); visitors' lists; poems; lists of JQA's published writings, 1787-1844; travel expenses, April, Nov. 1833; Congressional election returns; lists of persons to whom JQA's publications were sent; minutes on Congressional business; list of portraits of JQA, 1783-1838; population statistics (1844); members of 23d Congress. At end is a quotation ("Fair Lady, thou of human life...") dated 20 Feb. 1848.
